Lulworth Castle
A striking Jacobean hunting lodge, built in around 1608 in the fashionably retro castle style. The ancestral home of the Weld family, it was ravaged by fire in 1929, but has been partly restored in a pioneering partnership with English Heritage. You can climb a tower for panoramic views of coast and countryside, enjoy woodland walks in the parkland, and discover the Anglican church and unique Roman Catholic chapel, disguised as a domed garden temple and still in use.
